THE ALIMARA HOTEL, HONORED AT THE 2026 HORECA AWARDS FOR THE GASTROSENSE PROJECT

We have been honored with the Best Interior Design Project award at the Horeca Awards 2026. This recognition is thanks to the success of the Gastrosense project and the renovation of the Summum Restaurant.

The main objective of Gastrosense was to model a multisensory system using the computational neuroscience to incorporate architectural and interior design elements into the dining experience with a clear premise: design dining spaces that not only meet functional needs but also focus on the physiological, emotional, and cognitive needs of diners and staff.

The HORECA Awards 2026 are the eighth edition of an awards ceremony organized by Alimentaria +Hostelco, which aim to recognize excellence, innovation, and sustainable and technological transformation in the restaurant, hospitality, and institutional food service sectors.

The award was accepted at the in-person Horeca Awards ceremony by our director, Eva Viciano, and by Álvaro Arrieta, director of the CETT-UB Master’s Program in Hotel and Restaurant Management .
