At Hotel Alimara, our commitment to sustainability and awareness of our social impact is non-negotiable. We want your experience at our Hotel to reflect this.
We continue to expand our circle of action in areas as diverse as the fight for the elimination of food waste, the reduction of single-use plastics both in the rooms and in the common spaces and restaurant areas, or promoting the use of public transport thanks to our unbeatable connection with the rest of Barcelona.
We also submit ourselves to external audits to evaluate our facilities and propose new challenges to reach our most sustainable version.
NUTRITION WITHOUT BORDERS
This NGO has been working since 2005 to fight against inequality in the world in the area of nutrition and food for the most vulnerable groups
Since 2012, Hotel Alimara has been collaborating with the "Share the Food" project to guarantee the right to healthy food through reducing food waste and donating food surpluses to produce menus in social canteens.
CIRC HOTEL, BUILDING THE BEST SUSTAINABLE HOTEL
Hotel Alimara has been one of the 5 hotels selected in Barcelona to participate in a pilot program that evaluates how we can adapt the best hotels in Barcelona to turn them into a sustainable space with low environmental impact.
It aims to achieve this through practical actions of prevention, reuse, and transformation of materials to reduce waste generation and find solutions within the Hotel or with other organizations.
PLASTIC REDUCTION AND PARTNERSHIP WITH INCAPTO COFFEE
In addition to reconverting our amenities and implementing changes in our catering areas, we have recently added one more ally in our fight to eliminate single-use plastics.
INCAPTO COFFEE is a sustainable and fair trade coffee bean brand that does not use capsules, eliminating unnecessary waste and minimizing the impact on the planet. We have replaced our obsolete capsule coffee systems with the INCAPTO system. Come and discover its full flavor.
